The Government of the Canary Islands’ Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 has issued a report on significant delays on the southern highway, TF-1, at km 76 towards Santa Cruz. This is due to a collision between two vehicles.
According to CECOES, the collision occurred when one of the vehicles unintentionally hit a pedestrian who had fallen onto the road.
The incident took place at approximately 6:26 a.m. on Friday, when 1-1-2 received an alert regarding a man’s fall on the road, subsequently leading to a collision between two vehicles.
Upon arrival, the Canary Emergency Service personnel confirmed that the individual was in cardiac arrest. They administered resuscitation efforts, successfully restoring his condition. Following stabilization, he was transported by medical ambulance to Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital.
The victim, a 37-year-old man with multiple injuries, was left in a critical state after the cardiac arrest was reversed.
Meanwhile, the Civil Guard conducted the necessary procedures.
