The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food Sovereignty of the Government of the Canary Islands will participate in the Fruit Attraction Fair, which will be held from October 3 to 5 at IFEMA (Madrid), with its own stand in which seven companies from the sector will be represented. horticultural and agricultural technology, in addition to the Cabildos of Tenerife and La Palma and the Provincial Federation of Associations of Exporters of Horticultural Products of Las Palmas (FEDEX).
The Canarian participation in this event has been coordinated and financed by the Canarian Institute of Agri-Food Quality (ICCA), which has the technical collaboration of Proexca. The Area Councilor, Narvay Quintero, will attend the opening of this event on Tuesday, October 3, at 12:00 p.m., and will visit the Canarian space, which has an area of 127 m2 for the exhibition of productions from the Archipelago and is located in Pavilion number 5 of the venue.
The companies Montaña Roja Herbs, Sweet Papaya, Agro Rincón, Alisios Tropical Fruits, Creative Vending, Ferimark 2016 SL (Ecobertura) and the SAT Frutas El Hierro, as well as the Cabildos of Tenerife and La Palma and FEDEX, are attending the fair.
The director of the ICCA, Luis Arráez Guadalupe, explained that Fruit Attraction is a platform to show the excellence of the Islands’ production and, above all, a forum of interest for the Canary Islands fruit and vegetable sector, as it allows access to new opportunities. of business and that commercial relationships already begun are consolidated.
In this 15th edition, 90,000 professionals from 135 countries are expected to attend, and 2,000 exhibiting companies from 56 countries, in an area of more than 64,000 square meters. The participation of all the Autonomous Communities that produce fruits and vegetables and representatives of the fruit and vegetable production and marketing sector, as well as the industry and services linked to it, stands out.
