A paraglider, 67 years old and of Austrian origin, has been seriously injured after suffering an accident in the Taucho area, in the municipality of Adeje (Tenerife), as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 112 of the Canary Islands.
The events occurred on the afternoon of this Monday and members of the Local Police and the Tenerife Firefighters went to the aforementioned place and verified that it was in a place that was difficult to access, so the 112 Coordinating Center activated to the helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES).
The GES helicopter then located the injured man, who was accompanied by the firefighters and, after immobilizing him, transferred him to the Tenerife North Airport where the staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) verified that the affected person had trauma to his lower extremities of a nature. serious, so he was transferred to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.
Civil Guard agents also appeared in the area, collaborating with the intervening resources.
