The 2024 Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife officially opened on Friday with the gala on the terrace of the Fairgrounds and tomorrow the program of events begins with the first phase of the Children’s Murgas Contest, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Fairgrounds.
The Mamelones contest will open and a total of 16 murguitas will participate. Friday will be the second phase and Saturday, the third and last. This first weekend of the chicharrera festival will be completed on Sunday with the Choreographic Festival, starting at 5:00 p.m., and which for the first time is held as a competition.
