A network dedicated to the trafficking of anabolic and invigorating steroids dismantled in Tenerife



Agents of the National Police have arrested three people in Tenerife, one of them a native of Cádiz, as alleged perpetrators of crimes against public health and belonging to a criminal organization, as they are part of a group dedicated to the illegal trafficking of anabolic and invigorating substances. sexual groups that operated in the towns of San Fernando, in Cádiz, and in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and San Cristóbal de la Laguna, both in the Canary Islands.

The detainee from Cádiz had numerous police records and was the supplier of the anabolic substances, which he sent from the Cadiz province to the Canary Island hidden in suitcases that he checked in on the flights he took frequently, the National Police detailed in a note. .

These anabolic substances were acquired from major distributors or producers from Eastern Europe, receiving them via postal parcel.

Another of the detainees, a native of the Canary Islands, was in charge of receiving the anabolic substances from Cádiz to later distribute them to multiple buyers. In this way he covered almost the entire market in the north of the island, using his own family home as a point of sale.

With the support of the Police Intervention Unit, the entry and home search was carried out on this island of Tenerife simultaneously with the interception of postal packages in Cádiz, resulting in the intervention of a total of 50,737 tablets, 5934 blisters, 232 vials, 994 sexual invigorating gels, 13 syringes and 6,040 euros.

The detainees were brought to judicial custody of the Investigative Court number three of San Cristóbal de la Laguna that is hearing the case.

The investigation has been carried out by agents from the Specialized and Violent Crime Unit (UDEV) belonging to the Judicial Police Brigade of the Provincial Police Station of Tenerife and the Local Narcotics Group of the San Fernando Police Station (Cádiz).
