Several schools in various parts of Spain receive bomb threats

The Lycée Molière of Saragossa They were closed this Monday due to bomb threats and there are also three other centers, all of them private, in which they are investigating at this time if there are warnings. Among them would be the British School, the English School located in Movera and the private Schoolhouse, on Vía Ibérica.

Sources of the National Police They assured that they appear to be false threats, but they are investigating and carrying out checks to guarantee the security of the centers.

The notices have come through emails in which it was warned of the presence of explosive devices in the facilities. Furthermore, it seems that the threats have not only reached centers of Aragon but it has also happened in other cities in Spain.

Miguel Cendegui, director of the British School of Aragon, assured this newspaper that in his case they opened the classrooms this Monday “with complete normality”: “We have not received anything from anyone and there is no indication. We have sent families a reassuring email,” he noted.

In any case, from the center they remain alert and “We are awaiting the news, although the National Police have no certainty that it has any semblance of reality with the British School”. “We remain calm and will communicate to the families with anything.

Also in Tenerife and Pontevedra

Likewise, several schools in Tenerife have received bomb warnings, which in the case of French Lyceum The National Police confirmed that it was false.

Sources from the National Police tell EFE that several patrols and an explosive device deactivation unit approached the facilities of this center and confirmed that it was a false alarm.

The Civil Guard is investigating the bomb warnings received in other educational centers in Tenerife, to check its veracity and where they come from, sources from the armed institute have told EFE.

These notices have also been received in centers of other Spanish provinces.

In the case of Tenerife, they have been affected, in addition to the French Lyceum, the German School of El Rosario and the British School of La Orotava, that remain closed, reported RadioTelevisión Canaria.

For its part, the Civil Guard is investigating the bomb threats received in recent hours by at least three international schools in the province of Pontevedraas occurred in other schools located in various regions of Spain.

According to Civil Guard sources consulted by Europa Press, for now there have been three centers in the province of Pontevedra that have reported, being located in the municipalities of Gondomar, Poio and Pontevedra capital.

The same sources have explained that, in December, these threats are usually registered, as they are exam times. However, on this occasion it stands out that alerts have occurred at the national level. Furthermore, at least in the case of Galiciathey are all international schools.
