The Ofra-South Coast district of Santa Cruz City Councilled by Councilor Santiago Díaz Mejías, has scheduled a large number of activities since December 11, 2022 and until next Friday, January 6, 2023, within the campaign called “Ofra is Christmas”. This campaign began last week with rounds of Canarian carols in the afternoon, as well as different parades along the Rambla García Escámez or children’s activities in the Mercado de la Abejera.
Councilor Santiago Díaz Mejías has stated that “I encourage the residents of the district to have a great time with family and friends, enjoying all the activities that will be carried out in each neighborhood and having fun with these special dates for the little ones.” especially”. To which he added that “I want to highlight the launch of a toy library, in which for a couple of hours on each of the scheduled days of the school holidays the boys and girls will be able to enjoy this enabled space, which will serve as an aid for the work conciliation of those days.”
A soccer tournament is also planned to be held at the Chincanayro field, which will begin on Wednesday, December 20 and end on Friday, December 22, aimed at grassroots teams mainly from this area of the capital.
The council headed by Santiago Díaz Mejías will also collaborate with a Christmas market, which will be enabled on Saturday, December 23 at the Santa Clara sports center.
For today, Monday, December 18, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., a new round of Canarian carols is planned for different streets in the district, in addition to the launch of the Christmas Photocall around the Príncipes de España Shopping Center.
Free children’s playroom
In addition to activities in the children’s play center on Avenida Príncipes de España starting on December 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and consecutively on December 27, 28, 29, 30 and 2.3 and January 4, 2024.
