The Public Services area of the City Council of Arona rushes maintenance, renovation and repair work of various spaces and infrastructures of the municipality. The municipal government highlights the actions carried out in the cemetery and the Cabo Blanco landwhile announcing an upcoming intervention in the Los Tarajales Promenade.
The first deputy mayor and councilor for Public Services, Clari Pérez, highlighted that these interventions are aimed at “updating or urgent maintenance and reforms” of the places where the works are carried out. “We have an important action plan for the coming months, but there are situations and places that cannot wait,” she added.
The Arona cemetery received a series of improvements, both exterior and interior, consisting of the repair and repainting of the exterior walls and the front of the niches, in addition to the repair of the pavement and the restoration of the horizontal road signage in the area. . All this so that the population access the cemetery in the best conditions, coinciding with the festival of All Saints.
In the case of the Cabo Blanco land, the Department of Public Services announces a important plan of improvements and repairs. In the first phase, work has been done to improve access to the facility, renovation of the changing rooms and bathrooms with non-slip floors, tiles and tiling, as well as painting work in all facilities. These actions will be developed in the coming weeks and will be complemented by the inclusion of projects that seek to improve accessibility to the building and carry out repairs on the roof.
The municipal area of Public Services also contemplates an intervention on the Los Tarajales promenade, in Los Cristianos. Specifically, it is face the repair of the wall that borders the sea. Damaged by the waves, this enclave has deficiencies in terms of safety for beach users and pedestrians, so the retaining wall will be replaced. The work includes the installation of a new stainless steel railing on the promenade.
The tender for this action was announced in mid-May for 501,943 euros. The project has the approval of the General Directorate of the Coast and the Sea, once the Consistory included the suggestions and modifications indicated by this department of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
