WHERE TO GO ON A CHRISTMAS TRIP

Adeje (Tenerife) has been among the most sought after destinations in Spain. Madrid and Barcelona are among the ten most searched cities in the world on Booking.com to spend Christmas, as they are ranked fifth and seventh destinations for international travelers, respectively, in a ranking led by London (United Kingdom) .

Renowned cities such as Paris (France), Tokyo (Japan), Rome (Italy), NY (USA.), Amsterdam (Netherlands), bangkok (Thailand) and dubai (United Arab Emirates), according to data from the booking platform.

In addition to Madrid and Barcelona, the following favorite Spanish cities by international travelers are Seville, Malaga, Valencia, Granada, Adeje and Benidorm.

On the other hand, Booking.com data also shows that The ‘power’ of Madrid is not only international, since it is also the favorite destination of Spaniards to spend the Christmas holidays, just as it was last December long weekend. They are followed by London, Seville, Barcelona, ​​Granada, Malaga, Paris, Valencia, Rome and Benidorm.

The great position registered by Madrid for these Christmas dates is directly related to the increase in flight reservations to visit the capital of Spain compared to last year, which went from tenth to sixth place in searches. A ranking of flights that is headed by Bangkok, London, Paris, Istanbul (Turkey) and Ko Samui (Thailand).

In terms of regions, the company points out that Andalusia stands in a significant fourth place, only surpassed by Greater London, the Isle of France (Paris) and the State of Sao Paulo (Brazil).

At the same time, the islands Canary Islands and Catalonia are among the most in-demand territories for traveling at Christmas, with sixth and tenth place, respectively. Other regions also appear in this ranking, such as Florida and California (USA) and the State of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

Those who visit Spain the most at Christmas

Spain is one of the favorite destinations for foreigners to spend Christmas due to the wide range of coastal areas and the pleasant climate in much of the country, according to Booking.com.

Thus, the United Kingdom, France and Germany are the three countries that will visit our country the most this holiday season. However, Italians, Portuguese, Poles, Dutch, Americans and Irish complete this ranking of the ten countries that will visit Spain the most.

For their part, the international destinations most reserved by Spaniards to spend Christmas are the main European capitals of Paris, London and Rome.
