SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 4 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A canoe arrived today, Monday, at the island of El Hierro with 48 people on board, including two women, from the African continent, as reported by Maritime Rescue and the Red Cross.
The boat was detected by a SIVE echo south of La Restinga and the Civil Guard patrol boat ‘Río Segura’ went to meet it, which intercepted it about 2 miles from the coast.
The patrol boat accompanied the canoe to the port, where its occupants were assisted by the medical device deployed there. No transfers were made to health centers.
