SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 28 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Board of Directors of Aena has decided to extend for the entire year 2024 the incentive for airline companies that operate at La Palma Airport in order to promote tourism and encourage air traffic and promote the scheduling of routes and operations by of the airlines.

This incentive was already applied throughout 2022 and remains in force in 2023.

Aena thus contributes to the recovery of activity on the island, which was strongly affected by the eruption of the volcano in the Cumbre Vieja natural park, the entity reports in a note.

The incentive involves reimbursing the infrastructure use fee or passenger fee on departure flights that take place between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024, originating at La Palma Airport and destined for the Peninsula. , the Balearic Islands or to an international destination.

The incentive acts on the rate that airlines transfer to passengers for the use of the infrastructure, which can help promote activity at La Palma Airport.

This measure has the collaboration of the Special Commissioner for the Reconstruction of the Island of La Palma, who has promoted this initiative, according to Aena.
