From November 6 to December 4, Tenerife hosts the recording of the German series ‘Forever summer’, a production that will premiere in autumn 2024 on the first channel of the German public television ARD and whose audience is estimated at five million. of viewers per episode.
The series’ producer, Bavaria Fiction, one of the most relevant in all of Europe, has opted for the island “for its tax advantages, its climate and diversity of settings, as well as for the production support companies (service). and local talent,” explains its production manager, Stephan Bechtle.
The Vice President and Tourism Councilor of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Lope Afonso, has pointed out that the work of the Tenerife Film Commission to attract top-level audiovisual productions to the Island “reaches a new milestone with the filming, for almost a month, of a high-impact series at a European level like ‘Forever Summer’, which will show our destination to millions of viewers and potential visitors during its broadcast”.
Lope Afonso also highlighted that the recording of the series “confirms the good moment that Tenerife is going through in terms of audiovisual production this year, even overcoming the global difficulties that have affected the sector, and contributes to strengthening the local business fabric and the creation of jobs around production”.

In this shoot, Bavaria Fiction is using the services of local production company Seven Island Films, as well as Canary Pictures Vehicles as a scene vehicle services and production support company. In terms of personnel, it has hired 70 local professionals, as well as 300 extras.
