Aena has launched the expansion of the Airport Tenerife North-City of La Laguna with the tender for the Technical Assistance for Project Drafting (ATRP) for the adaptation of the terminal area, with an amount of 4.54 million euros and a period of 36 months.
It consists of drafting the construction project that will precisely define the actions to be carried out. The project will involve the expansion of the terminal building in both the east and west areas and also actions in the parking lots and the urbanization, as well as the necessary equipment and furniture.
This project and the others being developed on the island of Tenerife have been underway for months and will conclude within the period of validity of DORA II (2022-2026). The following actions corresponding to these already initiated initiatives are planned to be included in the DORA III proposal (2027-2031).
An announced agreement
All this comes after the fruitful meeting between the Cabildo of Tenerife and Aena in Madrid. The institution chaired by Rosa Davila closed with the public company an investment of 580 million euros for the airports of Tenerife North – Ciudad de La Laguna and Tenerife South – Reina Sofía. “Very satisfied,” said the president of the Tenerife Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, after the meeting held at the Spanish airports and navigation headquarters (Aena) in Madrid.
