Three people were seriously affected by poisoning due to smoke inhalation after the house they were in caught fire in Arona, in the south of Tenerife.
The Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported that two of those affected were transferred by ambulance to Hospital del Sur El Mojón and the other to Hospiten Sur.
They are a 53-year-old man, a 52-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl, who were in the house last night when the fire broke out.
Around 4:00 in the morning a call alerted 1-1-2 of the fire. Upon the arrival of the firefighters, these people had been able to get out onto the street on their own.
Firefighters extinguished the fire, which affected the entire ground floor and part of the garage.
