The CBRN Technical Unit and the Subsoil Reconnaissance Unit of the Civil Guard continue to travel to the island of La Palma from Madrid to take gas measurements in the areas of La Bombilla and near the cone of the volcano.
As reported by the Civil Guard, the measurements continue to be high, so staying in these areas poses a high risk to people’s health.
The Civil Guard reiterates to all citizens residing in the areas affected by the volcanic eruption to follow the recommendations that the competent authorities are establishing to protect citizens from the serious dangers that these levels of harmful gases entail.
The Civil Guard recommends that citizens always follow the instructions that the competent authorities in the matter continuously establish in their profiles or official channels.
