The city of The lagoon On November 25, it will host “the most spectacular edition of La Noche en Blanco in its history,” as pointed out by the mayor of the municipality, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, during the presentation of the official program of this event so closely linked to commerce. , culture, leisure and entertainment.
The first Lagunero mayor, who was accompanied by the councilor responsible for Commerce, Leticia Villegas, explained that “this fifteenth edition, which will start at 11:00 a.m. and will last until dawn, will have an unprecedented musical lineup that will be made up of by artists of the stature of Marta Sánchez, Carlos Baute, Merche, Blas Cantó or El Vega Life.”
Luis Yeray Gutiérrez also recalled that LNB “is an event that we laguneros and laguneras await with special emotion, and that, together with the Christmas lighting, which will take place the day before, marks the beginning of the festivities in a city that aspires to become “Christmas capital in the Canary Islands.”
Finally, the mayor of La Laguna placed special emphasis on the coincidence of LNB with 25N, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. “For this Government Group this is an occasion that deserves a prominent role, and I am sure that La Noche en Blanco will contribute to giving greater visibility to this reality, showing our support for women who suffer any type of violence and our fight. to eradicate it from our society.”
In this sense, it has been planned, at 1:00 p.m. in the Plaza de La Concepción, the reading of the ‘Live and Free’ manifesto, with which the City Council wants to show its rejection and rejection of this type of violence and promote defense of fundamental rights. Next, the musical show ‘Violetas’ will take place. These initiatives will be accompanied by purple information points distributed throughout the city center.
The Lagunera Councilor for Commerce, Leticia Villegas, was in charge of presenting the different events that will make up the official agenda of this event “which always generates great expectation among the Lagunera and Tenerife population, and that always attracts thousands of people from All ages”.
The councilor also stressed that “in this fifteenth edition, there will be no shortage of family programming, which as a novelty this year will be divided into two time slots. The first section, which will go from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., will start with the opening ceremony of La Noche en Blanco 2023 and the show ‘El Circo del Payaso Tallarín’, by the Cantajuego company,” explained the councilor. .
“From that moment on, there will be a festive explosion in the city and the different thematic areas will be launched,” added the councilor. San Agustín street will focus on sports, with multiple disciplines present, while Nava and Grimón and Heraclio Sánchez streets will host the first two children’s areas with bouncy castles, games, thematic workshops and other shows. These environments will be joined by the third children’s area, in Doctor Olivera Square, which will be based on mechanical attractions.
The Inclusive Area will be held in the Plaza de la Junta Supremo, which will offer workshops, talks, games, giant chess and many activities aimed at all audiences, but especially aimed at serving all diversities. Leticia Villegas continued her presentation by emphasizing that “music, as in previous editions, will have a prominent place in the programming, and it will be during the night when La Noche en Blanco shines like it has never done in previous editions.” “We will have three music areas with big stars that we have called Popstar Stage, in the La Concepción area; the Retro Stage, for lovers of eighties and nineties music, in the Court parking lot; and the Los40 Sustainable Sounds Stage, in Plaza del Cristo. Within the cultural sphere, different points will also be deployed for all tastes, such as the Jazz Space, which will be located at the Cabrera Pinto Institute; the ‘Musics of the World’ stage, in the plaza of the old Santo Domingo convent; or the craft exhibition, also in the surroundings of the aforementioned convent. The rest of the cultural and leisure agenda will cover other proposals such as the motor world exhibition, which will be displayed in the Plaza del Cristo, or the Gastro Plaza that will be tasted in the Adelantado.
Finally, the Lagunera councilor announced that not all the LNB 2023 events are reflected in the official program, “to reserve some surprise for all citizens who decide to enjoy this fifteenth edition live.” He also expressed his hope that La Noche en Blanco “not only serves to attract thousands of visitors to La Laguna, but also to inject a very powerful stimulus for all the commerce in the city center, which is, after all, the maxim and the spirit of this quote.”
