SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 9 December (EUROPA PRESS) –
The General Corps of the Canarian Police, via the Citizen Security Unit of the Tenerife Island Police Station, has apprehended a 56-year-old individual in the municipality of La Matanza de Acentejo for an alleged offence of attempted homicide and damage that transpired last weekend.
The authorities were alerted by the victims who claimed that the arrested individual had discharged several shots from a firearm at their vehicle whilst they were travelling on TF-217.
The officers noted marks consistent with gunfire on the back window and the luggage compartment. After conducting the necessary inquiries, the offender was identified and subsequently detained.
Additionally, a 4.5-millimetre air rifle, a compressed air pistol of the same calibre, a serrated knife with a blade measuring 13 centimetres, and pepper spray were confiscated.
Following the arrest, the requisite procedures were undertaken for referral to the Judicial Authority, as reported by the body in a statement.
