The lagoon celebrate today the big day of II cultural tour Day of the dead, night of the deadwhich connects the Canary Islands with Mexico.
The streets of the city were filled this morning with color, music and tradition to host a parade of catrinas for the whole family, which was enlivened by the Mariachi Mencey Aztecaaccompanied by the dance corps Yacambu.
The tour began at 11:30 a.m. in Doctor Olivera Square and ended near the La Concepción tower.
Chestnuts and cinema
This afternoon, between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., the special will be held Day of the Dead Take Chestnut!in front of the headquarters of the Mexican Consulate, in Plaza de la Concepción.
The little ones’ turn will be at 7:30 p.m., when a selection of children’s short films will be screened outdoors in the La Concepción area. This thematic cinema is one of the novelties of this year.
Around 8:30 p.m., attendees will be able to enjoy a talk about the world of chestnuts.
Likewise, a selection of short films for those over 18 years of age will be screened. The first screening will take place at 8:30 p.m. and the second at 10:00 p.m., and between them a tasting of wine, chestnuts and music will be offered to the public.
