The Cabildo and the Hotel and Non-Hotel Association of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro (Ashotel) yesterday signed a protocol to improve mobility on the Island, through a pilot project to encourage the use of alternatives to transportation in private vehicle between some 2,000 workers in the tourism sector.
The signing ceremony was attended by the president of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila; the island vice president and Minister of Tourism, Lope Afonso; the Minister of Mobility, Eulalia García, and the manager of Ashotel, Juan Pablo González. In the document, the Cabildo undertakes to collaborate with the sector to adapt the TEN+ VAO application and facilitate the use of shared vehicles, in addition to legal, administrative and technical support.
From Ashotel, lines of work will be developed that range from optimizing routes with Titsa to promoting a shared vehicle system.
