VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), Oct. 13 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A cayuco with 78 migrants of sub-Saharan origin on board was intercepted this Friday by a Maritime Rescue vessel when it was sailing south of the port of La Restinga, on the island of El Hierro, sources from 112 Canarias inform Europa Press.
A total of 73 men, two women and three minors were traveling on the boat and they were transferred to a health center.
Since Thursday afternoon and Friday night, a total of eleven boats with 551 migrants on board have arrived at the islands, with three canoes in El Hierro, six boats in Lanzarote, and one inflatable boat and one boat in Fuerteventura.
