Adeje celebrates the first weekend of its patron saint festivities

The Patron Saint Festivities of Adeje They start with a weekend full of activities for all audiences. The events will take place in the Plaza de España, Calle Grande and in the vicinity of the Cultural Center parking lot, where the fair is already installed. The activities will begin today with the Canary Islands and the Caribbean gala, where the representatives of the different neighborhoods of the municipality will be announced. The show will feature the participation of Ballet Beanky, Ballet de Tenerife, Municipal Group of the Adeje Folklore School, Quimbao La Nuit and Toke Latino.

The Adejera queens will pay tribute to the history between the Canary Islands and the Caribbean, so one of their passes will be carried out with the clothing of Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. The queens will also parade dressed in the traditional magician’s costume.

Tomorrow Callejeando will take place, one of the new features of the program will take place on three stages along Calle Grande with musical performances of all kinds. At the same time, there will be parades by different cultural groups that will close the queens’ float.

In this way, not only will it give a boost to cultural activities on the street, but it will also be a boost for the businesses in the area, benefiting from the influx of public. The day will close with a festival with the Sabrosa orchestra. On Sunday, starting at 6:45 p.m., the municipal flag will be moved from the Town Hall to the main church, where the mass sung by the Camerata Mencey Tinguaro Musical Association will be celebrated, and the offering of the different parishes of the municipality to the patron saint.
