At the City Council we are aware of the situation that numerous families in the municipality are going through who lack or have limited resources to deal with day-to-day life, and also have to face the payment for the increase passed on from the review of the IBI cadastral values. , which represents an economic effort that is very difficult to meet for these groups.
The deadline for submitting applications ends on October 24 and the financial benefit is intended for the following groups:
* Pensioners who receive a payment from a public body, due to retirement, widowhood, orphanhood or disability, or their spouse, if they are the owner of the home.
* People with disabilities (Functional or intellectual diversity) or with relatives with said condition in their care: the owner of the home must have a recognized disability equal to or greater than 65%; or the applicant must prove that they live with a family member
up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity in a straight or collateral line that has a degree of disability equal to or greater than 65%.
*Long-term unemployed (or your spouse if you are the owner of the home). For these purposes, long-term unemployed are understood to be those people who are registered as job seekers in the corresponding Public Employment Services, with a minimum and uninterrupted seniority of twelve months, prior to the date of application for this subsidy. .
*Victims of Gender Violence: those who prove through a court ruling or restraining order that recognizes such a situation.
To receive these aids, it will be an essential requirement that the beneficiary be registered and reside in Santiago del Teide with a minimum of one year’s experience in the home for which they are requesting the subsidy. In addition, you must be the owner, usufructuary or holder of a surface right over the home where you usually reside, provided that it is located in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, and that, in addition, you appear as obliged to pay on the IBI receipt in relation to said home.
The amount to be received by each beneficiary will be equivalent to 90% of the IBI receipt fee for the corresponding year.
