Arrested in Tenerife for swindling more than 2,000 euros by selling counterfeit high-end mobile phones



Civil Guard agents belonging to the Investigation Area of ​​the Main Post of Granadilla de Abona, in the south of Tenerife, within the framework of operation Yabulka, have arrested two men, both residents of the town of Guargacho, in the municipality of San Miguel de Abona, for allegedly swindling more than 2,000 euros by selling counterfeit mobile phones from a high-end brand.

The investigation began after the corresponding complaints filed by two victims who had been scammed with the same modus operandi. Supposedly, the accused, after announcing on a well-known social network the sale of a state-of-the-art mobile terminal and a high-end brand for the amount of 1,000 euros in the first case and 1,200 euros in the second, stayed with the victims. in person in an industrial estate in the town of Las Chafiras.

After the transaction occurred, delivery of the money to the now accused and delivery of the counterfeit terminal to the buyer, the victims disappeared without being able to contact them again, after realizing that the mobile terminal was not original, but a counterfeit. Both victims voluntarily handed over their mobile phones at the time of filing the complaint.

The investigating agents managed to identify and locate the two advertisers accused of both crimes and proceed to their immediate arrest, seizing a third counterfeit mobile terminal.

The three telephone terminals seized, along with the procedures carried out, have been delivered to the headquarters of the Guard Court of Granadilla de Abona.
