Firefighters try to control the flames in a plot of land in La Laguna

This afternoon a fire broke out in a lot located in the Astrophysicist Francisco Sánchez Avenuein the Tenerife municipality of La Laguna.

Tenerife Firefighters have already traveled to the site, working to extinguish it together with police resources to control the situation.

According to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands, the fire affected stubble and bushes.

It is hoped that the situation will soon be completely controlled.

Another fire in Gran Canaria

This same afternoon, the fire also started in an industrial warehouse in Gran Canaria. Specifically, the affected property is located in the municipality of Ingenio.

The flames have generated a large amount of smoke at the scene, but firefighters from the Island have managed to extinguish it without injuries.

Local Police and Civil Guard intervened in the emergency device.
