The botanical garden of palmetum established itself as one of the great points of interest in Santa Cruz de Tenerife After getting another year of recognition Traveler’s Choicee, awarded by tripadvisorthe world’s largest travel guidance expert platform.

In a statement, the City Council explained that this award is given to those spaces that have consistently received excellent reviews from travelers on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months, placing the botanical garden among the 10% of the best attractions in everyone.

The mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, has pointed out that it is a municipal facility that “each year increases its number of visitors and that it is the usual setting for environmental outreach activities, a benchmark for sustainability for the municipality and that has established itself as a destination for tens of thousands of people.

The Palmetum de Santa Cruz, inaugurated in 2014, obtained this award for the first time in 2016, just two years after it opened to the public.

Since then, this recognition has been renewed year after year thanks to the good reviews expressed by visitors on the platform, a reflection of the commitment to quality made by the city’s botanical garden, betting on the growth of the botanical collection and the continuous improvement.

In the coming years, the Palmetum will continue its line of growth, opening to the public new areas such as the Papua New Guinea area, which will include a hide for bird watching next to a new lake, and the Bajo Caribe area, which will house a restaurant space. for visitors.
