TENERIFE BEACH ACCESSES | The promenade that connects the beaches of Los Roques and El Abrigo concludes

Traveling between the beaches of Los Roques and Los Abrigos is already safeafter the completion of the construction work on the pedestrian promenade in this town of fasnia. Your mayor, Luis Javier gonzalezhe is very satisfied because this work is a reality after «more than 10 years of a lot of work, a lot of blockade and a lot of effort».

At the end of December 2021, the Island Government Council awarded the works corresponding to the coastal promenade project in Los Roques de Fasnia for an amount of 1,138,445 euros. The term of execution of the works was foreseen in one year. “It is one of the most important works that the Cabildo is going to start, it will eliminate the existing dangerous situation and the security of the area will be guaranteed,” declared the then president of the Cabildo, Peter Martin Dominguez.

The mayor Fasniero agrees in expressing the relevance of this infrastructure: «Today I am a little happier, because I see that, in the end, things work out». He highlights it in his accounts on social networks, through which he emphasizes that “I am happy for all those people who have done something, even the least, to carry out this work, despite the thousands of problems that we have encountered in the way”.

Satisfaction that a recipient has “especially, I’m glad for Damián Pérez Viera», whom he took over as councilor and «that, together, in 2019, we gave the final push so that this summer we can enjoy a fully rehabilitated area».

Within the framework of this project undertaken by the Cabildo during the previous mandate, the works include improving the conditions of accessibility to the sea in Los Roques, as well as the security conditions through the Roque de Adentro isthmus, which connects the area of the apartment Bay with Los Roques.

The performance carried out on the Fasnia coast is part of the program Tenerife and the sea, included in the Strategic Framework for Island Development and the Development Fund for Canary Islands (MEDI-Fdcan)
