He Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council will carry out a study to quantify and identify what type of events occur in nightlife venues regarding sexist violence, in order to have a real knowledge of the problem within the municipality, how and where they occur and assess how it is perceived. the problem both for users and for the staff who works in them.
This was announced yesterday by the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, and the Councilor for Equality, Gladis de León, during the presentation of the program of actions that Equality will carry out on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, on 25N , and among which the campaign Neither by day nor by night stands out. In addition, there will be a day at the NH Tenerife hotel, where, under the title Nightlife venues FREE from sexist violence, the situation of sexual assaults on women in these spaces in the capital will be addressed. The program will be completed with the marathon on the 22nd in La Granja park and the HER Festival, from November 29 to December 2 in El Tanque.
