The courts once again agree with the CSIF, the union of the Santa Cruz Local Policeand there are already six sentences, regarding the appointment of the components of the Unipol group, a unit that, although in practice is not operational, is included within the municipal RPT and budgeted.
The sentence released yesterday by the union agrees with him in the complaint he filed in 2021, when the Santa Cruz City Halldespite the existence of five sentences against the discretionary appointment of Unipol agents, decreed again, without negotiation or participation of the social agents, two officers to said group, without carrying out any selection process.
As explained by the union, the argument used by the City Council in this case was the Temporary Assignment of Higher Category Functions, ignoring the specific legislation of the Local Police that determines the professional categories within the police force itself, citing the Consistory, which, by charge more, these agents had a higher category. “This only goes to show the stubbornness of the administration in naming certain police officers over others using the most caciquil dedocracy,” Jesús Illada, CSIF delegate, pointed out yesterday.
