Astonished were those attending a tenerife church when, while they were waiting for the beginning of a mass, a man burst in running, with a little boy in his arms, to place him next to the virgin. Nobody knew what to do for a few moments. And is not for less.
It happened yesterday, shortly before 7:30 p.m., just before the Octave del Carmen mass began in Los Realejos, in the Carmen Sanctuary, located in the center of San Agustín. The man enters the sacred place, with the child on the wings, while he runs towards the main altar trying to get the little one as close as possible to the image.
When he arrives at the altar, which staggered after the man collided with it, he climbs the child up to quickly climb himself until he leaves the child as close as possible to the Virgen del Carmen. He then leaves, leaving the child, while several of those present are nearby as if asking for explanations. Something that, surely, those gathered in this church in Tenerife will not forget.
