Agents of the National Police arrested a minor yesterday as the alleged perpetrator of a sexual assault on a 15-year-old teenager that occurred last weekend in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The arrested man was transferred to the cells of the National Police Station at the Tres de Mayo Police Station, as Europa Press learned.
The events occurred around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, when the Local Police of the capital of Tenerife received a notice that in the parking area located on the road below Avenida de la Constitución, at the height of the old San Carlos barracks, there was a minor with obvious symptoms of alcohol poisoning and that she was disabled and lying on the ground. The alerters also stated that when they arrived there were two boys who fled from there.
The Local Police managed to contact two of the victim’s friends, ages 13 and 12, who reported that they had gone to buy alcohol and that they went down to Santa Cruz on the tram, where they talked to two boys, one of them the alleged attacker.
Upon arriving at the Interchange, the group walked towards Plaza de España and one of the boys tried to make a move on the victim, whom he ended up violating, and threatened her two friends, who left the place to seek help.

The officials carried out all the inquiries and took the information of the witnesses and the victim’s friends to determine the possible aggressor or aggressors. Likewise, the minor attacked was transferred to the University Hospital of Canary Islands (HUC) and contacted her father, being in charge of the Family and Women’s Care Unit (UFAM) of the National Police and the forensic doctor.
On the other hand, the Supreme Court (TS) endorsed the sentence of five years in prison and a fine of 90 euros to two men for a crime of sexual assault and another slight of theft of which a young woman was a victim in the area of the La Laguna ring, as reported by Efe yesterday.

The events took place on December 5, 2021 in the nightlife area of El Cuadrilátero, when the girl was in a bar with some friends and, around 2:40 a.m., when leaving the premises, several individuals approached her, including the two convicted, who began to talk to her.
At one point, the young woman began to feel bad, so she decided to get away from her friend, walking a few meters away to vomit. This circumstance was taken advantage of by the two condemned, who began to play it. Given the situation in which she found herself, all by herself, at night, in a secluded place and surprised by her, she had no capacity to react and she felt intense overwhelm, anxiety and restlessness so that she chose to remain passive.
Despite asking the two young men on several occasions to leave her alone, they began to hold her tightly and pull her to take her to another place. The young woman managed to get away from the defendants and ask for help, which allowed National Police agents to arrive, at which point she realized that several items had disappeared from her bag. She missed 18 euros, a portable battery and a transport pass in her name.
When the agents arrived, the young people had left, but they managed to stop them after carrying out several raids.
