Marc Angel, Vice President of the European Parliament

Marc Angel, Vice President of the European Parliament, will meet with the President of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Rosa Davilaand the vice president of the Island Corporation, Lope Afonso, under the Culture & Business Pride Festival. Angel will visit Tenerife from Thursday to Saturday of this week as one of the relevant figures of the Culture & Business Pride Festival, an event sponsored by Turismo de Tenerife, the Autonomous Organism for Culture of the City of Santa Cruz and Turismo del Government of the Canary Islands.

Taking advantage of his stay on the Island, the leader of the highest European institution will meet with Dávila and Afonso. This meeting will allow you to see first-hand the reality of Tenerife in these matters and establish possible ways of direct collaboration between both institutions. At present, Marc Angel is listed as responsible andn science policies, technologies, computing, telecommunications, transportation, green energy, employment and social issues. In addition, in his profile as an MEP, his work in defense of the rights of the LGTBIQ + collective as co-president of the LGTBI Intergroup of the European Parliament stands out. Bridges of collaboration between the Cabildo de Tenerife and the European Parliament will be projected on all these matters.

Marc Angel is also a substitute for the President of Parliament for multilateral bodies (outside the field of security), in particular the United Nations and the World Trade Organization (WTO); and also for Africa and the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States. The Culture & Business Pride Festival is the global focus of progress and rights in social, cultural and business matters for the LGTBIQ+ collective.
