The Council of Tenerife will proceed to close the junction of the TF-5, the Autopista del Norte, at the height of Cuesta de la Villa, in the municipality of Santa Úrsula, to make improvements at the intersection with the TF-217. The works will begin next Monday, July 24 and will end on Friday, August 25. During this period of one month, access to the northern town will be through links 28, 29 (La Quinta) and 32.
The works include earthworks and demolitions, paving and signage. For its execution, Access 31 from the TF-5 to the TF-217 (link to Cuesta de La Villa) is closed in both directions. The change of direction from the TF-5 in the connection will be allowed.
Several sections of the same northern secondary road, the TF-217, will also be cut for the execution works of the Cuesta de la Villa sanitation collector, a project promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and the Environment, through the organization Aguas de as Cuencas de España (ACUAES).
This is the reason for the closure of the TF-217 highway in the interurban section between kilometer point 9.230, at the intersection with the TF-21, and kilometer point 10-.820 (at the junction with the branch to the TF-5).
The detour will take the island highway TF-21 –PK 0 and PK 2,720). Access will only be allowed, in the closed section of the TF-217, to residents of the area.
The TF-217 leaves from the junction 23 of the Autopista del Norte (TF-5) to 32 where it connects with the TF-31 access to Puerto de la Cruz via Martiánez. It is a two-lane road, one in each direction, whose layout follows a certain parallelism with the Autopista del Norte and which runs through the municipalities of La Matanza and La Victoria de Acentejo, Santa Úrsula and La Orotava.
