The Cabildo de Tenerife lifts the ban on making fires in recreational areas

The Cabildo de Tenerife has terminated the ban on making fires in the stoves of recreational areas after improving weather conditions.

Thus, from this Monday the 17th, the regime of ordinary uses of the mountains and protected natural spaces provided for in the laws and regulations will govern. specifically, those that regulate the preventive measures of forest fires- and in the plans and norms of the protected natural spaces.

The Minister of the Natural Environment, Blanca Pérez, points out that “conditions have improved, but we cannot let our guard down, so we ask the population to exercise extreme caution in activities that can cause a fire.” In addition, she recalls that agricultural burning is paralyzed until October 15 in order to avoid the risk of forest fire.
