SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The National Police have arrested a 42-year-old Hungarian citizen in the municipality of Adeje, Tenerife, on whom a European Arrest and Surrender Order issued by the justice of his country weighed.
Investigators from the National Police learned of the possible presence of the fugitive in Tenerife. Apparently, after spending a vacation in a luxury villa located in the south of the island, this person could have settled in one of the tourist municipalities of Tenerife.
The investigative procedures carried out by the agents confirmed their presence in the town of Adeje. In a police device established in the aforementioned urban center, agents of the National Police arrested the fugitive who, in order to avoid his location and capture, led an extremely discreet life on the island.
The arrested man, wanted by the Hungarian authorities for committing the crimes of document falsification and fraud, has been sentenced to three years in prison in Hungary.
The National Police made the fugitive available to the Central Investigating Courts of the National Court, through the Arona Investigating Court, resolving the judicial authority to imprison him pending his extradition to Hungary.
