SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –

A 45-year-old cyclist died Tuesday in a traffic accident that occurred at kilometer 4 of the TF-13 highway, in the municipality of La Laguna, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes ) 1-1-2.

The event occurred around 12:15 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert reporting a collision between a car and a bicycle, for which reason Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources to intervene in the area.

The cyclist was injured with serious injuries, for which he was assisted and transferred in a medicalized ambulance from the SUC to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands, where he died.

The driver of the car, a 77-year-old woman, was injured with moderate trauma and was taken by SUC ambulance to the hospital. The police services took charge of the corresponding proceedings.
