The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, took a campaign tour of La Laguna (Tenerife) this Monday, where he visited shops, stopped to have a coffee, took photos with whoever asked for it and received good wishes… except for a woman, who blurted out: “I hope you don’t win.”

It has been the only moment that has gone out of the script in the walk that Feijóo has taken between the Plaza de la Catedral and the Torre de la Concepción, a backdrop for a group photo that has been taken with about twenty militants and supporters that they have fired him with shouts of “president, president”.
The leader of the popular ones has made this journey accompanied by those who are actually presenting themselves for the elections this May 28, who have acted as cicerones and even photographers, the most active in these conflicts, the PP candidate for the Presidency of the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez.
Ana Zurita, candidate for Mayor of La Laguna, was also part of the procession, which was later joined by the candidate for the Presidency of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Lope Afonso, when the group stopped at a cafeteria. They had barely traveled a hundred meters, but the cool and windy weather invited us to pause.
They have also stopped at an optician and a decoration store.
Those who came across the group, surrounded by a cloud of cameras and the security team, approached Feijóo and asked for a photo, some discussed it on the phone with their interlocutor, and practically the majority wished him “luck”.
Almost all of them, with the exception of the woman who waited for him at the doors of the candy store in front of the Cathedral of La Laguna to cast a curse on him: “I hope you don’t win (…) they are all scoundrels.”
