From when and in what way?

He public transport It will soon be a place where you can take your pets. For this reason, and given the doubts as to how it will be done, the Federation of Services, Mobility and Consumption of UGT Canarias has asked the Cabildo de Tenerife that establishes a protocol to clarify to the staff how to proceed.

It will be from next June 1 when the access of domestic animals to trams and buses will be allowed. The details of how the space will be organized and whether there will be a maximum of kilos or size allowed have not yet been released. Just a few days after the measure enters into force, the union demands speed in order to avoid that the responsibility of allowing the animals to enter or not falls on the workers.

“We need them to speak out as soon as possible, because what we don’t want is to get to Wednesday and for colleagues to see themselves without knowing how they should proceed,” explains Fran Padrón, head of transport for the UGT Federation of Services, Mobility and Consumption Canary Islands.

This federation wants to make it clear that they are not opposed to the entry of animals, as long as the responsibility for determining the conditions and procedure falls on the company and not on the staff.
