Torres highlights the Highway Agreement as an example that the PSOE is the party that “solves” the problems

The PSOE candidate for re-election as president of the Canary Islands in the Canary Islands Autonomous Elections 2023, Angel Victor Torreshas highlighted the Highway Agreement as one of the examples that the socialists are the party that “solves” the problems.

This has been made clear this Sunday during a visit to the Oroteanda-Las Chafiras highway works next to Candidate for the Council of TenerifePeter Martin.

“The Socialist Party’s proposal for the next four years is solve problems. In 2019 we arrived at the Government of the Canary Islands and we had a problem with the roads, a conflict with the Government of Spain and a sentence that, however, we have saved 100% of the funds, which are 1,000 million euros without having to go to execution sentencing,” Torres said.

More investment in infrastructure

Torres made special emphasis here that this has made it possible to go from 1,200 million euros to carry out works in the Canary Islands to 1.6 billion. “And he has allowed us to have -he continued- works in progress. We are not talking about works in progress, but works that are being executed.”

At this point, the candidate explained that the PSOE is aware of the connectivity problems of the different islands. “That’s why we have promoted many works that are underway and others that are with impact statements that will soon begin,” he said.

“Therefore, the proposal for the next four years is what the citizens want, keep solving problems as we have done with the road agreement”, concluded towers.
