The comprehensive reform works of the engine room, the first of its kind to be carried out in the Costa Martiánez Tourist Complex since its opening in 1977, are already a reality. A performance that will last for a period of at least two months.

For this reason, the Great Lake area will be closed to the public, while the Lido de San Telmo pool area will remain open. The Complex has established new locations to continue providing catering services to users of the pools that are still open.

Likewise, the established capacity has been modified by reducing the space due to all the logistics that a work of this magnitude produces with the replacement and modernization of the engine room that supplies seawater to the great Lake.

“We at the City Council continue to be committed to caring for the magnum opus of César Manrique, tackling, after 46 years, these necessary works to modernize all the operations of the Complex’s machine room,” says the mayor, Marco González, who stresses that these Actions are carried out during these months when the force of the waves is less, to guarantee the safety of the specialized operators who will work on placing the filtering systems in the sea.

Also from tomorrow, the single entrance will be established, as stated in the ordinance, which prevents leaving and re-entering the facilities with the same ticket already used, which promotes the rotating use of the pools now that the capacity is lower .

With this, once the capacity of the Complex is complete, it will be possible to admit clients again, if the occupation allows it, from 2:00 p.m., thus allowing new users more time to enjoy these facilities.
