SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 27 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

A 47-year-old man has been hospitalized in critical condition after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest on the Puerto de la Cruz-Las Arenas General Highway, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.

The event occurred around 1:20 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert stating that a person had fainted on public roads and required health care.

A SUC coordinating doctor, present in the operating room, gave instructions to the whistleblower via telecare so that they would provide first aid to the affected person until the arrival of health resources.

Once there, SUC personnel verified that the affected person was in cardiorespiratory arrest and performed basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers on him, managing to recover his pulse. Once stabilized, he was taken in critical condition by medicalized ambulance to a hospital.

Agents of the Local Police of Puerto de la Cruz also displaced to the place were in charge of securing the area and collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources present.
