Table reservations for the Dance of the Wizards of Santa Cruzorganized by the City hall through the Autonomous Organization for Festivals and Recreational Activities, OAFAR, have sold out in just over an hour
For the Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, “this is an unprecedented demand, which can only be understood by the desire of thousands of people to share our celebrations and traditions in the streets of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.”
Cabello recalls that “admission to the Baile de Magos is free and that in addition to a night of Canarian gastronomy, attendees will be able to enjoy a musical program of parrandas and popular orchestras”, the only requirement being “to wear traditional Canarian clothing correctly ”.
In barely an hour, the 712 tables set up in the usual urban environment, which could be reserved over the internet, sold out. After 12:30 noon, the same thing happened with those set up for physical sale at the OAFAR headquarters.
The Magicians Ball will be held on May 2 from 9:00 p.m. in the usual venue located between the streets of Antonio Domínguez Alfonso (La Noria), Calle Nifú-Nifá, Campo Castro, Calle Bravo Murillo, as well as in the squares of Europe and the Church of the Conception; which can be accessed, free of charge, through any of the 10 control points enabled where the correct clothing will be checked.
The traditional Taifa Dances will be held on the stages arranged in the Plaza de Europa and Campo Castro, starting at 10:00 p.m. El Charco de la Casona will present, starting at 11:00 p.m., a traditional festival setting, enlivened by the Sonora Olympia and Revelation orchestras.
The complete program of the different events planned for the May 2023 Fiestas can be found on the website www.fiestasdesantacruz.com as well as in the different municipal institutional social profiles.
