SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 22 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

A 58-year-old British man drowned this Friday afternoon on the coast of the Teno Lighthouse, within the municipality of Buenavista del Norte (Tenerife).

As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 112, it was a call that requested health care for a person that two bathers had rescued from the water and who was in cardiorespiratory arrest.

In this sense, one of the bathers, who was a nurse, began resuscitation maneuvers until the arrival of the GES helicopter and the health team from the health center who came in an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC).

Said personnel continued with the maneuvers and began outposts, without obtaining results, for which reason his death is confirmed.

In addition, the coordinating center also activated the team of psychologists to attend to a minor accompanying the deceased person.

Finally, the Local Police collaborated with the intervening services, while the Civil Guard took charge of the proceedings.
