Lope Afonso, candidate of the Popular Party for the presidency of the Cabildo de Tenerifepresented yesterday his list in the registry of the Electoral Board for the elections on May 28, in which the presence as number 2 of the former Santa Cruz councilor, José Carlos Acha, stands out.
Afonso announces that his team is prepared for “the beginning of change” although he keeps three of the four members of the group in the Island Corporation. HE It deals with the directors Águeda Fumero (3), Manuel Fernandez (4) and Valentine gonzalez (6). Another novelty in the top positions, in addition to Acha, is Sonia Hernández, vice president of the employers’ association, the CEOE.
The candidate highlights that “this list is made up of people with experience, both in the public and private sectors, conviction and enthusiasm focused on management and on solving the collapse suffered by Tenerife.”
Afonso emphasizes that “the people who accompany me in the candidacy will inaugurate a stage of illusion on May 28.” He adds: “We are not going to entertain ourselves in vagueness, but we accept with seriousness and commitment the challenge of transforming the reality of Tenerife, which has been left behind in many years, due to the lack of management from the Cabildo.” In the registration of the candidacy, Lope Afonso was accompanied by the first people that make up his list.
