A 61-year-old woman had to be rescued this Sunday after suffering a health problem while hiking in the Masca ravine, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred after 12:30 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert requesting health care for a hiker who had health problems in the aforementioned area.
Members of the Tenerife Fire Consortium gave the first attention to the affected person and transferred her to a safe area to carry out an air evacuation.
Rescuers from the GES helicopter got off the aircraft and, with the collaboration of the firefighters, hoisted the affected person onto the device to transfer her to the Adeje Volunteer Firefighters helipad.
Back on the ground, SUC personnel assessed and assisted the hiker, who was transferred by sanitary ambulance to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.
