The casting vote of the president of the Cabildo, Pedro Martín, avoided in yesterday’s plenary session the opening of a procedure against the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Javier Parrilla, for having committed “supposed illegalities” by changing the fishing logo artisanal “unilaterally and failing to comply with the procedure, including approval in plenary session”. The nationalist Antolín Bueno defended the proposal during a tough debate with allusions to the president and his response, as well as the PSOE spokesperson, Marián Franquet. Parrilla appealed to his right to remain silent and not to take part “in this show.” In the end, a tie at 15, and one abstention in two successive votes. The president decided.
Bueno regretted this circumstance and reaffirmed the endorsement of the two reports in this regard, on January 26 and March 7, from the General Secretariat of the Plenary. The last one indicated “possible civil and criminal responsibilities” of Parrilla “for not following the established procedures and procedures.”
