Last night Arona celebrated the Gran Coso Apotheosis of the Los Cristianos International Carnival, once again becoming one of the most massive events of these festivities, with more than 10,000 people, including residents and tourists, enjoying the good atmosphere and admiring the design work of all the costumes and fantasies of the different carnival groups.
The more than 1,800 participants paraded from Avenida Juan Carlos I to the Cultural Center of Los Cristianos, almost two kilometers of route in which they did not stop dancing and encouraging the residents and tourists gathered there, among masks, lots of rhythm, fantasy, dance and colour. From the choreographic groups of the municipality to the comparsas and groups of the Aronero carnival, passing through the elders of Arona, the murgas and guest formations from other Tenerife municipalities and floats. The arena was a party full of glitter, sequins and smiles.

The arena of Los Cristianos has almost half a century of history and has become the most crowded arena in the south of Tenerife, as it is a great tourist attraction that attracts a large number of visitors each year eager to learn how the International Carnival of The Christians. Thousands of people travel to the municipality on these dates, which has almost full hotel facilities.
Once the arena reached its destination, the party continued with performances by the Tropin and The Boys Machine orchestras, the last great dance of the Los Cristianos Carnival, which today will end with the Burial of the Sardine.
On the other hand, on Sunday morning and before the Gran Coso Apotheosis, the traditional Exhibition of classic and old cars took place which, as usual, brought together motor enthusiasts, very numerous in the South of Tenerife.
