The mayor of Los Realejos, Adolfo González, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Olga Jorge, announce the call for social aid for the rehabilitation of homes, which admits the submission of applications until January 24, 2023, after being published last Friday in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP).
This line of aid from the Insular Housing Rehabilitation Program has an item of 45,462 euros, co-financed by the Cabildo de Tenerife and the City Council, and is of a social nature, since among the requirements specified in the bases are some scales of resources minimal economics. It is especially aimed at works that are necessary in homes for reasons of humidity, unsanitary conditions, accessibility or other repairs.
Specifically, the purpose of these grants is to attend to the state and situation of need in which family units with few resources find themselves that are insufficient to face the rehabilitation of the home that constitutes the family home and that is not in good condition. habitability minimums. Among others, they include the total or partial improvement of accessibility conditions to guarantee the safety of the home, such as the reinforcement or partial replacement of structural elements and those that allow adaptation to current regulations on water, gas, electricity, fire protection, among others.
The municipal councilor recalls that a hundred families have benefited in the last decade from this aid, which the Consistory has paid 100% since 2012, and in recent years the Cabildo has assumed it in collaboration with the municipalities.
