The mayor of the orotava Y general secretary of CC in TenerifeFrancisco Linares, was elected, by acclamation of some 200 affiliates in the municipality, as nationalist candidate for re-election in May 2023. Linares made a “very positive” assessment of the management carried out in recent years as head of the Villa Mayor’s Office, although he acknowledged that “it has been very complicated due to the economic and health crises, which have done a lot of damage both to the citizens as well as to the public administrations themselves and, especially, to the town halls».
The candidate arrepeat at the head of the Orotavaense Mayor’s Office He valued the importance of the “great team of people” that collaborates with him and that has allowed him to “adopt multiple actions in these years to help as much as possible to the residents, the self-employed, groups and companies of the municipality.”
“We have fulfilled a large part of the electoral program, but above all we are satisfied with fulfilling the citizenship. Being in difficult times and making decisions that are in the general interest », he stressed. This has forced to “park some projects to broaden aid and subsidiesas well as to the social sphere, to training, to jobeducation and culture… because the main priority, while I am mayor of La Orotava, will always be the people».
Linares also highlighted the work of the members of the current government team who “work with rigor, commitment and total dedication.” He pointed out that “although many things have been done, there are still many to do”, for which he aspires to continue working “for and for thethe neighbors of La Orotava». In addition, he thanked “the support and involvement of all the affiliates, who make up a great team that is an example in Canary Islands as an active and participatory local committee”. He also congratulated the bases, the nationalist youth committee, “for the strength, enthusiasm and desire with which they work.” In Linares’ opinion, “CC en la Villa can boast of new blood that is enriched by experience.”
Francisco Linares thanked the trust and loyalty to the 200 affiliates who attended the assembly, and accepted, “with renewed illusions”, to be a candidate for the third time for Canarian Coalition to the Mayor of La Orotava in May 2023.
