Agents of the Civil Guard belonging to the Main Post of Guía de Isora, in the framework of the fight against the production, distribution and sale of cannabis in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, have dismantled a cannabis plantation that was in the municipality with 236 marijuana plants.
In addition, they have arrested two people as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health, in its modality of elaboration and cultivation of narcotics and drug trafficking.
The investigation began after Civil Guard agents located an address dedicated to the cultivation of marijuana plants. After carrying out the appropriate steps to clarify it and once they obtained the corresponding judicial order to enter and register the property, they entered its interior with the collaboration of the Local Police of Guía de Isora and the personnel and means of the city council.
During the home search, a total of 131 doses of drugs with the active ingredient sildenafil of possible illicit origin were also found. It is a powerful vasodilator prescribed by doctors to treat erectile dysfunction, and its misuse as a sexual enhancer is common.
After the home search practice, 236 marijuana plants were seized, which were supplied by a sophisticated irrigation system.
A total of 2 kilos of marijuana buds ready for distribution and consumption were also seized, as well as various production and growth material for these plants.
The investigation has been carried out in the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 3 of Arona and has had the support of the Local Police and the City Council of Guía de Isora.
