SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The ‘Tenerife Bluetrail’, the highest mountain race in Spain organized by the Cabildo through the public company Ideco, will be promoted at the ‘Ultra-Trail Village de la Transvulcania’ fair, which will be held from October 19 to 21 at the Llano Tesa Sports Complex, in Los Llanos de Aridane.
The island councilor for Sports, Concepción Rivero, explains in a note that they want to “continue supporting La Palma and also one of its most attractive sports events such as the Transvulcania, the trail race that has had to be suspended for two years due to the Covid and by the volcanic eruption”.
In this way, he points out, the ‘Tenerife Bluetrail’ will participate with its own stand to attract new athletes.
People who come to the Tenerife Bluetrail stand during the three days of the fair will have the opportunity to participate in a registration draw for the next edition of the race, which will be held from June 8 to 10.
A 10% discount on the registration fee will also be offered to athletes who sign up on those days of the fair.
The ‘Tenerife Bluetrail’, which already has registrations open through the website www.tenerifebluetrail.comwill premiere this year three new modalities aimed at families, children and a route for joëlettes, special chairs adapted for athletes with reduced mobility.
The next edition of the test will have a maximum of 3,400 athletes including the new races, but the limitation of the participants who cross the Teide National Park is maintained to respect the territory and the quality of the test.
The Ultra version will have 500 participants, just like the Trail, while the Half and Marathon will have 900 and 800 seats, respectively.
The Trail Relay mode will be reserved for 50 couples and the Vertical has 150 places.
The prices provided by the organization range between 10 euros for the Vertical if you also participate in another modality and 135 euros for the Ultra. In the case of the Bluetrail Challenge and the joëlettes race, they are free for the participants.
